I have just jailbroke my Ipod touch 4g 6.1.3 IOS And I have no idea how you get free games.

Can someone tell me the basics and stuff please?

Look up Appcake or iFunBox they both work pretty well

I use vShare. Fairly simple honestly, but I miss Installous.

I have no idea how to look them up though? Do I search for them on Cydia.. orr?

Yes you search on Cydia using the search option.

Just go to search and type in whatever app you choose. Google is a good place to learn what to search for. If you're wanting to use vShare then you just go to Cydian, press on the search option at the bottom, type vShare, and select it. Once it's brought up, look in the top right corner where it says install (or something like that) and obviously you're going to install it. Just let it do it's thing for a few seconds then it'll be done.

You also may have to add a source depending if Cydia has it
