I have an xbox 360 slim in my room, which will be connected to xbox live for maybe 30-45 minutes. After the 35-45 minutes, it will drop the connection and I will be disconnected. After 2 minutes or so, it comes back online. My dad has an old arcade xbox, which we put into my room to see if it would get disconnected, which it did not. My question is why would the newer xbox drop the connection, but the old one will not? I have to much memory on my 250GB slim to transfer to the arcade so that isn't an option. Thank you for your time.

are you using Wireless on your SLIM? I had an arcade xbox and it worked fine for 2-3 years

Yeah if your using the built in adapter on your slim it gives out after awhile. Just use the wireless adapter and plug it into your slim and you'll be fine.
