recently my computer's fps on anything will drop if i don't move my mouse or type anything on my keyboard, for about 1 min and 30 seconds. i noticed it mainly when i was watching youtube videos and originally thought it was just that and thought nothing of it. but then i noticed it was like that when i was recording video and also watching movies on my computer. i'm just wondering what could've caused this to happen and what i could do to fix it.
thanks.

edit: here's a screenshot of my temps as well. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
also when i was playing bioshock on my pc i had it as windowed, and then just left it idle with my evga precision x running in the back so i can see the fps it was reading and about 1 minute to 2 minutes of me not touching my keys or moving my mouse it recognized my fps go all the down to 2-5

edit 2: i re-installed windows and did a fresh install of all the drivers and everything seems to be operating accordingly. if the mods could remove this post or lock it, it would be appreciated. thanks again to all that helped.

It sounds like you have a bad graphics card/integrated graphics in your laptop. I have this problem with my laptop as well, using the integrated GPU in a Celeron. You could see if your laptop can be upgraded but I doubt it.

Alternatively you could try downloading the latest drivers from the website of whoever makes the graphics card in your laptop.

i also didn't have the latest drivers for my gpu yesterday then updated and the issue was still occuring.
i'm hoping that my gpu isn't going bad because i really don't have the money for a new one.

Sorry, not sure why I assumed it was a laptop lol.

Do you have a separate discrete graphics card? Or do you use the graphics that are integrated in your processor (the i3)?

If it's happening while browsing the internet it will most likely be your ISP. Now if you have any games to test this with just go in game and see if there are any lag spikes within a 10 minute game-play session. If not I'd have to say it's your ISP.

i don't think it could be my isp when it's happening on things outside of my browser, like when i said play movies, i meant files on my computer.

No real problems that stand out with your monitor, I still think it's your ISP. Have you tried resetting your router lately? Also check the back of your computer and make sure your VGA cable is firmly pushed into the back of your graphics card and into the monitor VGA port firmly.
