Hey guys i have a problem and i was wondering what you guys think. I Am currently building a PC and i have run into a small problem. My power supply (Corsair CX500) has different shapes on the cpu cord than the plugin for it on the MOBO (Asus M5A97 R2.0) It is the only cord to plug in and it fits perfectly? i have no clue if it will ruin my MOBO or not if i start it up.

If it fits then it is most likely the right one...

If you're unsure have a look at the manual of the PSU and the Motherboard.

If your talking about the 8 pin that goes into the 4 pin on the motherboard then you need this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Had the same problem with my cosair 600m.
