No it wont be in mid October especially since the game comes out October 29th. Game developers use betas to fix any bugs that they missed online, it will be mid September giving Dice 1 month to fix bugs like they did for Bf3 Beta.

They already said their will be a beta. It is aimed for Mid September. So far there is no word on a open beta but there is a closed beta you can do. The only way to get in is if you are a Battlefield 3 Premium Member or you Pre-Ordered Medal of Honor Warfighter last year.
