So after doing a build with me (thanks to r00t and buxtyy for help on that btw) my friend has decided to build a gaming rid himself. He doesn't need peripherals, HDD, graphics card (I'm selling him my old one for now, he'll buy a new one at christmas; its a 660 if that matters) or an OS. His budget is 400 USD and he says that he wants a Bitfenix prodigy case and and one of the new intel haswell CPUs (Like me. He's a bit of a copycat haha) Thanks in advance.

There's no way with a $400 budget for a Haswell, Bitfenix, RAM, Power supply. Have any other options? It could work, just not with the 4th gen chip.

Well that's what he had his heart set on, just suggest what you can, try to include a haswell CPU (the i5 4670 is 159.99 at the micro centre if that changes anything) but forget the case, I'm sure it won't matter too much if he gets a different one

Price: $406.95 that is probably the closest he is going to get to his budget, unless of course someone else has something to add.

Get him to look at this, just to consider his options!

Just got him to look at these and he's probably gonna go for an AMD build due to being a bit nicer on his budget. Any other suggestions?
