Well I was browsing the dell website a few days ago and decided that it was time for a new laptop so I choose a laptop and open a customization window and I start customizing. I come to a screeching hault when I have the choice (due to limited resources) have the choice of buying the laptop with more RAM or with a better Processor. Which one is more beneficial for me in the long run?

Don't buy a laptop, if you want I can build you a pc. Just tell me what's your budget? Also what the PC will mostly be used?

Personally I would go for a better processor. RAM is one of the few things that can be upgraded on a laptop so you can upgrade the RAM when you have some more money.
