ok so my friend said that i dont have to be directly connected with my ps3 to my router using a ethernet cable he said i could do it wirelessly is that true cause i went to rtm but my router is to far away so please respond

Simplest instruction you will ever see are right here.

Go to your laptop network connections, highlight the LAN and LOCAL, right click and press bridge. plus your ps3 into you laptop and enjoy the horrible internet you now have on your ps3
