I jailbroke my iPhone around 3 months ago and after a month a fell on it and it smashed. I thought I could put up with the smash until the glass started falling out now it looks horrible. I went to the apple store and they said they would replace my phone for a fee of around 160 which I chose too but I had to book an appointment (LOL). I was about to walk in when I forgot my phone is jailbroken so I just didn't do it. I went home and reset my phone back to its original settings. Just because I had my phone jailbroken does that void my warranty and is there any chance they would notice?

Yes, jailbreaking does void the warranty. However, people have restored before taking it to an Apple Store and have had it exchanged without any problems. As long as it is restored when you take it in, you'll more than likely be able to get it replaced.

Alright thanks man. I'll give it a go next time I'm there got nothing to lose anyways. If that doesn't work I will just get someone to fix it for much less my warranties blown anyway.

I thought they changed that awhile ago? Hmm.

What's changed?

I am not sure, but I thought they decided to "legalize" it as long as you didn't have certain sources.

One of my friends broke their iPhone a few days ago (it was jailbroken) they restored it to factory settings and Apple had no problem replacing it for them.
