Title says it all. I have about 5 xbox 360 12 months cards, want to make sure I can still use them with the one.

Nope! They will only work for Xbox 360 unfortunately.

Well, the membership carries over, so if you redeem them on your account before you switch, then download your profile, you will have membership.

Yes they will. The Xbox One uses the same account you use for the 360. So, Yeah you probably can.

I would assume it would. Your accounts can transfer over so I would assume it works the same with live. If not just add it to your main account now and you will be fine.

Since most kids have no common sense here.

Xbox live is/was a service for the original Xbox, Xbox 360, and now the upcoming Xbox one.

A subscription card for Xbox live service is not locked to just the Xbox 360, it's for the Xbox live, so it doesn't matter if you are on Xbox 360 or Xbox one, your paying for Xbox live duuuuuur
