It's a little above but I can't recommend any other card with 2GB of VRAM and (when overclocked) will push the same performance roughly of a PS4.

There's no point in buying an APU if you'll be using a discrete graphics card (generally speaking). That motherboard is also unnecessarily high-end. What's your budget for the build?

I'm assuming he already has everything.

Sorry can't read.

The 7790 is the best card around that price point and the cheaper option is the 7770. This is the cheapest option with good cooling and it's a really hard sell at just a bit less than the 7790.

Also, free game.

1GB is outdated in my opinion and games like, lets say BF3 or Crysis 2/3 performance will be capped since it doesn't have enough VRAM and it's something that can't be upgraded.
The next gen of games will use even more VRAM when they are finally released.

The 7770 is the best card at its price point. You don't need more than 1GB for 1080p with any of the cards we're talking about. VRAM won't be the limiting factor.

1.5 GBs is used @1080p on high settings on BF3. It's the only bench I know of the top of my head.
It's still safer to go 2GBs in my opinion to buy a card and be limited by VRAM would suck.

EDIT: Here are benchmarks if you are in doubt. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

@r00t: alright
