I do agree but I don't agree on the following part.

What I hate are fanboys. The people (usually little kids) who are feverishly loyal and devoted to their company, and will stick with and defend their brand no matter what, even if they produce a terrible product. Why stick with a company that couldn't care less about you, and buy their product even if there's other options that are clearly better?

Not only is that not fair but that's also being hypocritical. It's a persons choice and freedom to defend whatever he wants. It's his/her opinion. You can't change that...

But it is not only that, they're obnoxious and they are right no matter what and there is no flaw in what they're 'fanboying'.

People who fanboy clans makes me wonder why people try and act as if they're in a clan which they can't get in to.

I don't think it is bad to be a fanboy. It shows you're dedicated to something you enjoy.

I hate the word fanboy. Just because you defend something over a different thing doesn't mean you are a fanboy. Like I think Xbox is better than PS3. But am I a fanboy? No because I own both and like both, just prefer one over the other. This word is overused and I don't think anyone knows the actual meaning behind it.

I didn't say that if you preferred one product over another, you were a fanboy. Infact, I said in my original post:

Establish wrote Don't get me wrong, there's a difference between brand loyalty, and fanboyism, and this rant isn't targeted towards those who like one brand more than another.

True, but in my opinion, I think it's stupid to value a brand much more than the actual product, and in the case of fanboys, they care more about the brand than the product. I'm not talking about people who prefer a specific device/product, I'm talking about people in general who are extremely loyal and very, very defensive of a particular brand/company, even if the company does something wrong, unethical, or just drops the ball on a particular product. I don't get it? Why defend a company like you're their spokesperson, when that company couldn't really care less about you in particular?

people who like to defend something they like/enjoy i don't mind. Its when they know their in the wrong and still carry on arguing or sucking up to them and begging, that's what annoys me.
