TRX450 wrote Your budget: 300 (US DOLLARS)

Which genres you'll be listening to: Rap/hip hop, Dubstep, Hardstyle, Bass heavy music pretty much

What kind you want: Doesn't matter. I like both.

Whether you want open or closed headphones: Either is fine.

What you are listening from: Galaxy S4 and Computer.

More Info: I want the most bass I can get and it's got to be clean. I would like some bass that would probably even start to hurt my ears even...

Pick one. You can't get both, especially for only $300. Actually, you probably won't get any headphones that produce enough bass that'll hurt your ears without getting a Digizoid ZO2. So with that, you're left with about $180. The bassiest headphone I can think of that's remotely controlled with amping is the Beyerdynamic DT770.

Also, I hate to sound like a buzzkill, but what you're asking for is incredibly imprudent unless you want to damage your ears/have trouble hearing bass in a decade.

Ok forget that then lets reword the question....
What do you think is the most bass heavy headphone that still has good mids and highs?
Audio-Technica ATH-M50's good?

The M50 doesn't have good bass, good mids, or good highs.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and ask for the bassy version. Most other bassy headphones in this price range have pretty bad mids. You'll definitely need the ZO2 with them though because they both need an amp and some bass boost if you're not used to bass that isn't sloppy.

Those are the most ugliest headphones I have ever seen. LMFAO!
Is there any others? like a common name brand headphone?

But seriously:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (But they sound kind of veiled)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Also sounds pretty veiled [see a pattern?])

So good bass, good mids and highs, and looks good. Pick two.

They need more power than the iPad Mini gives. It's kind of like putting regular fuel in a supercar instead of high-octane fuel. You can buy a headphone amp like a CMoy for like $30-50.

Are these amps portable? and do you have any suggestions other than the cmoy? considering my current setup?

Apart from the Cmoy there's also the FiiO E6 and the Soundmagic A10.

E6s have a bass boost and IIRC measure better.

How do you rate the Sennheiser Momentums? Tried them in an Apple store and loved them. Awesome warm sound.

Is there anything similar for less?

Also, hosting a community party next year in my back garden. I've got a shed in the corner which I'm going to kit out with a bar and DJ room. I'm unsure of what to buy. Budget of around 1K GBP. I preferably want 2 2/3 way speakers and a sub. I was looking at this as a setup (controlled from a laptop using DJ software of some sort).

It's only for a party, not a club. Outdoors and bassy music will be played.

You are in luck, I happened to have heard/used almost all of those things. The mixer is fine, will allow input form iPods from other people if you acquire a 3.5mm stereo to 6.3mm dual mono cable. Can't say I like the effects though but those can be turned off anyway.

The speakers are fine for a backyard, it can fill spaces bigger than that easily, same thing with the sub. What are you using for the DJ deck?

Remember to also buy stands and cables.

Not sure. What do you recommend? Nothing too expensive. Around the 100 GBP mark. It needs to be usb to connect to a mac.

Also. Soundsticks 3 (non wireless). What are they like. I've got some old HK computer speakers (ones that came with the dells) which are good but not enough clarity. I want to get something that sounds clear and bassy, but not too bassy. What are they like? It's either them or save up for some studio monitors.
