Hey guys,
My Cat5 cable has quit working in my room lately.
Basically, I have a CAT5 ethernet cable ran across my house through the attic to an outlet in my room, that I connect my Xbox 360 to. I have tried troubleshooting it, and nothing has worked. I have changed the cable, tried it in my macbook (nothing), and reset router and plugged cable into a different port on router. Nothing. I did however get my internet to work immediately after updating the firmware on my router, but afterwards, it has quit. So, I am wondering what I can do to get it working?

Your router is the issue. Can you possibly take a picture of the router and/or modem while they are on and attempting to work?

Sure it's a netgear and let me figure out my imageshack login and I'll get a pic up. Thank you

Oh god, you quoted me before I fixed my horrible "you're" and "in" spelling/grammar mistakes.
How embarrassing.

Okay post when ready

Everything looks fine dude. Did you change your MAC or mess with router settings after your last reset/update?

Then I'm sorry dude, I tried to help but I'm not an expert in this field. I honestly only mess with routers when I change my MAC to avoid a retail ban when I host.
