How much would a good desktop be? Is there anything I can add on to the pc for improvement ?

There would be no point, as you would have to change quite a bit.
The motherboard is probably cheap along with the CPU.
The PSU is probably non branded.
If you wanted a decent one, probably around 300GBP.

When he said 300GBP, that's when building one. You're not going to get a decent prebuilt computer for 300 pounds. The best prebuilt you'd get for 300 pounds would be much the same as the one you have now. Also you can't upgrade that because, if im not mistaken, the CPU is actually soldered on to the motherboard. Atleast that was the case with my E1 1200 APU.
