Ok so someone gave me their console to update and didnt have original nand so i backed it up with flash360 and downloaded the new jrunner and updated to 16537. At first it failed a few times so i downloaded the whole core download again and it worked. Anyway, I flashed it with xell and then whenever i power on with power button it gives e79 (with HDD removed, just the one red ring without e79 on screen, secondary error code 1033). Now xell still works but when i flashed back to the nand i dumped, it still gives the exact same error.
Just noticed it has a bad block when writing through xell. Should i try updating through a nandx or will that not make a difference?
Console is a falcon by the way.
Can anyone help?

it could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it - if you console is jtagged this is probably the jtag wire installation fault.
Hope this helped
