How to take apart the Gameboy Color:
How to install new Gameboy Color case:
How to install new Gameboy Color Screen:
How to install new Gameboy Color speaker:
Materials needed:
- Tri - Wing Screwdriver (You can buy one [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
- Some kind of flat tool (card, flat screwdriver)
Step 1: Remove the cartridge and batteries inside the GBC if any at all.

Step 2: Unscrew the 6 screws holding the case together.

Now your GBC is taken apart!
- Tri - Wing Screwdriver (You can buy one [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
- Some kind of flat tool (card, flat screwdriver)
Step 1: Remove the cartridge and batteries inside the GBC if any at all.

Step 2: Unscrew the 6 screws holding the case together.

Now your GBC is taken apart!
How to install new Gameboy Color case:
Materials Needed:
- Tri - Wing Screwdriver (You can buy one [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
- Small phillips head screwdriver
Step 1: Take apart GBC (Tutorial up above)
Step 2: Unscrew the 3 screws holding the circuit board to the case.

Step 3: Flip circuit board over. Do not hurt the orange film if you do it will cause your GBC to no longer work.

Step 4: Remove all the buttons.
Step 5: To remove the screen, use some kind of flat object to pry it off. ( I used a card)
Don't be scared to push up a bit as it is glued on their pretty good.

Step 6: Get out your new GBC case and buttons.( I also suggest putting your old case in a Ziploc bag for easy access and in case you need it for later.)

Step 7: Put new buttons in new case.

Step 8: Place circuit board in new case.

Step 9: Screw in the 3 screws for the circuit board.

Step 10: Put back case on and then put the 6 screws in.

Now your GBC has a new case and buttons!

Materials needed:
- Knife or X acto Knife
Step 1: Use the knife or X acto knife to pry up the old screen.

Step 2: Once off get off all the sticky stuff as best as possible.

Step 3: Place new screen on. Try to align as best as possible with the LED or else it might will bug the crap out of you if its not.

Now your new GBC screen is on!
- Knife or X acto Knife
Step 1: Use the knife or X acto knife to pry up the old screen.

Step 2: Once off get off all the sticky stuff as best as possible.
