If the display has an HDMI input, it'll work. If it uses DVI or VGA, you'll just have to wait for them to confirm an accessory that allows monitor inputs to work on the Xbox One.

It has vga and dvi but im using a dvi to hdmi adapter

That'll work fine then. Might be signal loss from the adapter though. That's why it's always safe to use the official accessory.
