So since the announcement of next gen systems and the start of the "console war" I've had this thought that on multi-platform games(PC xbox and PS4) and especially PC games ported to the other systems, seems like the xbox one would be slightly better than PS4 as the xbox and PC(mac excluded)have very closely the same OS wouldn't it be easier and even slightly more capable of running better than on PS4. This is just a theory I have. What do you all think about this thought.

No, you clearly have never made a game before and that's ok, not trying to be mean. Just because the PC is running windows doesn't make it similar to Xbox One. Open GL (I believe it is called, whatever program Sony uses to make games) is one of the easiest tools to make games on and with the Unified memory that the PS4 has, it makes it that much easier! The only company that is making a multiplatform game that said the Xbox One version will be better is one of the BF4 devs and most smart people know its because MS is paying them to get the dlc and stuff early so they couldn't say PS4 is better

Then why was BF4 used as a game to show off the PS4 at E3?

Cause why not? MS can't force them to not let them showcase the game.

Probably because they know the PS4 is better but can't say it

BF4 only goes up to 720p on PS4, whereas it goes to 1080p on Xbox One and PC. It's rumoured to be that BF4 on PS4 is roughly medium settings on PC. Not being a fanboy or anything, just putting in my 2 cents

Don't mean to be a fanboy either. But, PS4 has slightly better hardware, making it better, graphics and processing wise, than the Xbox One, in the long run. BF4 will not be native 1080p on either of the consoles. It will be up-scaled from 720p on both consoles. One little boost that the Xbox can have, as mentioned by the BF4 devs, is that it has directx.11. That makes processing better. With the directx.11 support on BF4, the Xbox One will be the same as PS4 on Battlefield 4. On all other games that don't use directx.11 on the Xbox One, the PS4 will be better on graphics and processing.

Xbox uses direct X11 so it will run better on Xbox one and if you don't believe just research it
