Hey guys,
So as you may have know, GTA V is approaching very fast and we are all very excited. Just there's a slight issue that i would like to address so clear everyone's mind.

GTA V Is the new Grand Theft Auto game being developed by Rockstar.

GTA Online: GTA Online is A "Game" aside of GTA V. Its a second game that will
NOT SHIP ON The RETAIL VERSION OF THE GAME. Yes the game will ship with 2 DISCS,
but the second disc is Content you have to install. The game is so damn heavy that you will need about 8Gb of free space.

I still dont understand

The game will function a bit like how Halo 4 did.

When you get the game, you will have 2 discs.
Disc 1 is the actual game with the campaign etc.
Disc 2 will have content you will have to install to your hard drive. It is said you will need arround 8-9 GB of free space

Now GTA Online on the other hand, is like War games. If you guys remember, when you got the game you had to install something for war game (Which was online multiplayer. The only difference is that it will be released 2 weeks AFTER GTA V, and will obviously, be much heavier (My guess is around 3-4 GB).

Here are some facts I took from CVG's Video about GTA Online to give you guys more info and to clear up some confusions some of you might have.

Information about the game

GTA Online: What is it?

[spoil] GTA Online is a game developed by Rockstar. Is is its own persistent online world and is a separate product to GTA V with its own development release schedule.
It is set slightly after GTA V and will sort of like a prologue to the game.

What do you mean by its being released Aside from GTA V?

I mean, GTA Online is basically another game that Rockstar made and are giving for free to their GTA V customers.

Its a game completely different from GTA V,
it had its own team of developers (Duh)
Its own release date

You might have realized in some screenshots or videos that it says GTA Online and not GTA V Online.

Who is it available to?

It is free to every owner of GTA V

When does it launch?

Sadly,it launches 2 weeks AFTER GTA V...

How does it work?

Basically you create your own character, with its own stats and everything. Basically like an MMO. But unlike an MMO, you can only have 16 players per session.

BUT, you are ranked on a GLOBAL leaderboard.

You rank up with a reputation system with points called RP

How long has it been in development for?

Since 2001!

What is the difference between GTA V and GTA Online?

Both games are technically identical. Maps, graphics, etc.

The only thing that may stream a bit differently are the cars, but thats not something too big to worry about.

What are some features or news that we know of at the moment?

Some of the features we actually do have information on is that the game will feature a Cloud Based Online ID, just like in LA Noire, Max Payne, etc...

- Many familiar locations will make returns. One of them include the area CJ from San Andreas was from ( Yes i mean that U-Shape place, I forgot the name of the area)

- There will be many game modes to play with your friends. Such as : Tennis, Deathmatches, Races, Heists, Golf, Skydiving, etc...

-Lip-Sync: Yes, this awesome feature from the campaign will be in online mode.
Basically, the game is made so that you can use your headset to make your character say actual words. For example: Lets say your in a heist in GTA Online with your friends. One of you could be the yelling: EVERYONE GET DOWN AND PUT YOUR HANDs WHERE I CAN SEE EM. And the other will just be the one getting the cash into the bags. And yes, you will have to yell that into your headset. Also if you Scream: FASTER FASTER!! The AI will react and start filling them bags with $$$ ALOT faster.

- In GTA Online, you basically live a virtual life. You can do actual real life stuff such as:
Invite some friends over and smoke some Weed,

-Sit down, drink some beer and watch TV. Not to mention the fact that if you turn on the news channel ( YES YOU CAN ACTUALLY WATCH TV IN THE GAME) you will see whatever your friends are up to, from being on breaking news camera live from a helicopter during a Hit and Run. Or watch them take down hostages in a bank.

-Actually go to the movie theaters and watch AND ACTUAL MOVIE with up to 16 players.

-You can go to a strip club,etc..

-Oh and now, you can ride planes. Yes, I Said Airplanes.

- You enroll yourself into entrepreneurial ventures such as buying stocks from the in game stock markets, invests into real estate, own car dealerships, etc...

- You can now also put all the money you have in the bank because now you have the ability too use a debit and credit card. Now rememeber guys, Rockstar made GTA Online as realistic as possible. So if you were to die right after a heist, and you had lets say 2 Million dollars in your pocket, well guess what. That money is going to be on the floor and ANYONE in the world can pick it up. So yeah, ya might wanna get a bank account ;)

- You can invite players to an online game, while in a single player directly from your phone.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Questions you might have about the game:

Will there be a Co-Op Campaign?

No. There will not be a Co-Op campaign but there will be alot, and I mean ALOT of online missions in GTA Online.

Will there be an option to remove the police, or shooting or anything like that from my world?

There is no information about police and and all that but there will be an option from removing the ability of players killing each other in the world.

Will there be a map editor or game mode editor?

Yes! There will be a map editor and game mode creator. The game will function like halo once again, where you can create game modes, spawn in multiple stuff,etc.. and upload them to Rockstar's servers. You can download, upload, game modes and maps, rate and favorite designers, etc...

Here is a video to clearly explain this feature to you:

Will there be a website to track stats, compare with friends, etc...?

Yes there will be and most of you are already familiar with it. Its called The Social Club. But unlike COD Elite, there are no plans to release an app for it. But the website is optimized for mobile, which is good
Here's a link if you guys want to check it out and create your account to have a headstart for when the game releases.

Will there be any enforcement's for people who cheat, mod, etc?

Yes there will be, but there is no other information given their behavior system.

Can my vehicles be stolen?

No, you can lock them and this will prevent anyone in your world from stealing them.
BUT! They can be damaged or destroyed.

So if my cars can't be stolen, but can be destroyed or damaged, What the hell am I supposed to do? What if my friends are huge @$$3$ and there will be trolls in my world (A$$E$) and they destroy everything I have?

Have no fear! Because in the game, you can purchase Insurance and basically cover any prized possessions you have. If you car is damaged, you insurance company(In the game, Obviously ) will repair the car, and if it is completely totaled, well there have been reports that your insurance company can replace the car.

What's going to happen if I have this ONE friend who is ALWAYS being a troll and ruining the fun for everyone? Will I be able to ban him from my world or will the rep system come in affect? What really happens?

Rockstar have given us a bit of information on this.
So there WILL be a "Bad Sport" punishment. So whoever trolls 24/7, will be punished.
What will the punishment be? Unfortunately we don't have info on that, but the good thing is that there IS punishments to these "Jack=A$$eries" lol.

Are there any information on gang creations?

[spoil]Yes there is and I am so dam excited for this! You can create cartels with your friends, hire other people and do whatever the hell you want. And just like in real life, there will be a government making sure nothing overpowered happens. Rockstar will act as the government. So they're probably going to charge you a certain amount in taxes, in damages,etc..

Are there any ways of making money other than heists, stealing, etc...?

Yes there are. You can invest into entrepreneurial ventures such as
The stock market, buying and selling properties

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Tips I can give you for GTA Online:

1. Carrying cash is a HUGE risk:

Carrying cash is a huge risk. Like I said earlier, the game will have new features where you can load all of your cash into banks and obtain a debit card and there are rumours around saying that you can also get a credit card.

2. Have loyal friends do activities with you:

Why you may ask? Because when performing robberies, the person who, hands=on, gets the cash, will decide how he cuts it. Meaning if there's just 2 of you and you're playing with your best friend. Well he could decide to be nice and give you a cut. Hope fully 50%.
On the other hand, if you're playing with strangers and they're in a group with their own friends, they can decide to snake you and either no give you any money in the end or they can also kill you.

Oh and also the can and WILL take whatever cash you had lying around on you in your wallet.
You can prevent this by doing step #1 LOL.

3. Pay an AI to deliver a vehicule to you instead of going all the way back to your garage and getting it. They can also repair them for you.

Yes, this awesome feature from Saints-Row will make its way into GTA V. You can pay an AI (No info on if it will be an AI you hire into your gang, cartel or whatever, or an AI you have connections with WITHIN the story, or it can be a random AI, like a person you found on street.) to get get a vehicule for you. They can get your lost cars, repair them but they will not deal with stolen vehicles.

4. Lock your vehicles:

If you don't, your friends or strangers in the world (Maybe even AI's) can steal them from you. By stealing them, their wanted level will raise and they will be chased by the police until they disguise it. No info has been released on if the stolen car is given back to you if the person is caught by the police.

5. If you steal a vehicle, disguise it!:

If you're planning on stealing your friends GT-R (Just an example) make sure you paint the car. Because if you don't you will raise your wanted level and can be arrested for stealing the car. So make sure you have some cash on you to invest into the car, because why steal it anyways?

So basically what you're saying is that there will be no online in GTA V?

Yes and no. At the moment, Rockstar has yet to release info on this but what is confirmed is that the game will ship on 2 disc. 2 discs because the game is so graphically heavy. So one disc is the actual campaign game, the other is for content installation. Basically like HALO 4.

OHH AND I FORGOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME. What do I mean? I mean that anything, can happen. Lets say you and 4 of youre friends are in a race, well anything can happen. From shooting each other and making the cops appear, or having a random person in ur world trolling everyone and shooting rpgs all over the place, etc...
yes all of this can and obviously will
happen.

Here are some videos explaining GTA V and GTA Online features.

(Ill update when part 2 is out )

Seems like you went through some trouble to make this post.. but I didn't read any useful information, maybe edit in some stuff tell people that don't know what Grand Theft Auto is or how the online works at all..

Example, from this all I got was that GTA 5 will have online.
Can I play with just my friends?
Do I have to have the Police turned on?
Is their a ranking system?

just somethings like that.

it doesn't matter if the xbox 360 came out... The Xbox 360 wasn't the first conceal that could connect to the internet. There was the original Xbox and ps2 which both had GTA 3 and they wanted to do GTA Online since then.
