That ones SATA 2 though so it isn't nearly as good a deal as the PCIe one.

It could be worth it because for the price of an 840 Pro 256GB you can get 6-7 of these in RAID 0. Same capacity and insane speeds.

Honestly, i've heard of issues with them too, apparently though the Vertex 2E had some of the issues fixed and you could get a 480Gb SATA II SSD for like around 150 on OcUK.
