Here's a little backround about what happened on 9/11/2001:

  • At 8:46 AM, a jet, apparently Flight 11, slammed into the northeast face of the tower, creating an impact hole that extended from the 92nd to 98th floors.
  • The North Tower began its precipitous collapse at 10:28 AM.
  • Later on, at 9:03 AM, a jet, apparently Flight 175, slammed into the southwest face of the tower, creating an impact hole that extended from the 78th to 84th floors
  • The South Tower began its precipitous collapse at 9:59 AM
  • At about 9:37 AM a jetliner, presumably American Airlines Flight 77, flew toward the western face of the Pentagon and exploded as it smashed through the the facade, primarily on the first floor.
  • At 10:06 AM, Flight 93 went down near Somerset, PA. United Airlines Flight 93 was the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania, short of its alleged target, the Capital.

"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. "

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home

Alberici wrote Are you not gonna talk about the few military forces that died in 2012 because our president didnt give a *** about them and left them for dead? I think that deserves to be up there.

We do constantly mourn them and keep them in our prayers every day, while we may not discuss it too much due to this being a technology board i believe that it goes without saying. 9/11 is simply a day where we can commemorate the sacrifices of the brave men and women who helped prevents the losses from this tragedy while mourning the deaths of those who lost their lives due to it.

I think i can speak for all of us saying that we respect those who have lost their lives fighting for the US and mourn their deaths. yet i would like you to acknowledge that it's not the focus of this thread.

To whom may concern about 9/11,
Hello, today, as most of you know is 9/11. If you don't feel like reading the rest of this, think again. I am going to write a life lesson about how if you love/miss someone you need to tell them because, time, is the ultimate burden on yourself.

Today is 9/11. The day where America comes together in support of those who lost their lives in the tragic destruction of the twin towers. People lost their loved ones, friends and family. And most of those people who lost their loved ones, friends and family probably didn't get to say one word...Goodbye. We live in a world of what ifs. What if, today, on 9/11/13 we turned that around. YOU went to your mom or dad or old best friend or ANYONE and said "hey I miss you" Because they may not be here when you really want to say it.

The reason why I'm telling you this is because I lost my dad on this day, 12 years ago. I was only 5. And you bet I didn't say goodbye.

So if you're acutely still reading this, and if it meant ANYTHING to you, text/call/hug the person(s) where if they left the earth tomorrow and you didn't say goodbye, it would hurt the most. DO IT. Because I regret every last second of not say one word to my father. Goodbye.

God bless. Written 9/11/13. Wed. 11:20 est. AM.

I did not lose anyone in the 9/11 attack but I almost lost my mom because she was in New York for the US open and she left on the 10th because she had to be back to work. God works in very spooky ways but my thoughts and prayers go out to the brave firefighters and those people that were on the flight headed to the white house that over took the plane.

God Bless America.

Im from the UK but I my respect goes to all the firefighters and police who were brave enough to go and try their best to save all the people who were at the towers. My thoughts and prayers go towards the people who were affected by this horrific event.
