I would say that you would definitely get much more out of a Xbox One.
If you already have a decent PC there is not point in getting a new one.
If I had to choose between a iMac and a Xbox One I would without a doubt go with a Xbox.

It really is up to you but I would get the Xbox One because it seems like you already have a computer.

I have an iMac. It's so good, you can get programs that you aren't able to get on a Windows computer. It runs a LOT smoother, its cleaner because you only have to set up the screen and power cable.

Personally i wouldn't even consider the imac. If you are even leaning towards the imac i would suggest you just build a gaming pc.I say this because with a gaming pc you can do work for school and play a lot more games then you could on the imac. If you are leaning towards the xbox one then get it man.Its your money choose what you want but i would definitely go with a pc over an imac.

VEVO wrote If you are getting it 'for school' then you should be going for a laptop. Also, keep in mind that when you ask this question on a gaming forums, you'll be receiving a load of biased opinions on what you should get. It all comes down to what you see yourself doing more. Seems more of a personal choice than a question to put out to others.
That was the point I was looking for the opinions no matter what site I go to (:

Macs are good for education, not at all gaming. I would say build a desktop, but if that isn't in your range I would get the Xbone and a decent laptop with windows as they tend to be cheaper.
