Go to preferences, Sound, Switch it to Play through headset and speakers, enjoy!

dont mean to sound rude but why buy a pvr? next gen consoles will have a pvr sorta thing built in so its redundant unless you just plan on sticking with your current gen

You are not able to record your voice through the headset. You can get Audacity with a snowball mic or something around that. But yes you record your voice seperatly and sync it up.

As i said above, you need to record seperatly with Audacity or a voice recording program then sync em up with your editing software of your choice.

I just bought my new computer and HD PVR about a week ago and had the same problem. Sadly I don't have an answer. I looked up numerous ways on how to get my PVR to put up my audio and not just my party chat and game chat but nothing would work. So what I did was when I would recording I signed into my brothers Xbox and joined my party and plugged my headset into the controller hooked up to his Xbox. So in the end this did work out for me, but I will not work for you if you do not have a spare Xbox. My last reccommendation is that if you can do what I did to go out and buy a MIC.

If you have an internal or external mic with audacity it will work.
