This is just a warning message to people. If you are using your PC, and then you suddenly, and randomly find your connection bad, you may be being DDoSed. I was not aware of this threat until yesterday/the day before, after someone did it to me.
DDoS means Direct Denial of Service, And put simply it is someone/a network of PCs, sending data packets (like a music file or something, just any data), in order to slow your internet down. I was recieving 0.02 mbps download speed and 0.00mbps upload speed.. This sucked but I found two easy ways to stop someone who is doing this,
A-Turn off your router for 5 minutes, this should reset the IP,
B-If the problem persists, phone up you internet provider and enquire, even request an IP change.
Sorry for posting this in the general discussion, I just wanted people to see it so that no one for instance gets conned by someone who is saying they can control their internet..
Sorry for going on/being boring! Thanks for reading though.

DDoS is distributed denial of service by the way. But if anyone has ever played GB's or League on BO2 then they know about this.

Internet suddenly becoming slow isnt always from a DDoS, it might be also from your internet provider throttling your connection for various reasons.

Though not too common anymore, your internet provider can throttle your connection if say they are, say, at peak usage hours and many many people in your area are online and using the internet a lot, or, if you have some how been caught torrenting after they send you a warning, and they see you torrent again, they will throttle your connection, along with alert authorities.

Also, not every router will reset its IP if you turn it off for 5 minutes. Most Verizon Fios plans do NOT do this. For it to work you must have a dynamic IP, which means a cheaper internet plan than those with a stable Dedicated IP. Though anyone whom has a stable dedicated IP probably has better hardware and most likely a bandwith fully able to support any ho-dunk good 'ol boy trying to DDoS them. Though they might still experience a slight slow in their internet.
