Hey, does anyone know of any PCI cards that can record Xbox game play.

I know of the Black Magic Intensity, just wondering if there were any cheaper options.

If you could provide links, i'll be sure to rep for ya time.

Thanks in advance.

There are TOOOOOOOONS that can record Xbox or any other system if you use the Yellow Red and White RCA/Composite cables. Tons of them can be found used on Amazon or eBay from reputable sellers at $10 or less nowadays. If you choose eBay, make sure the seller has the Star Trusted icon next to their listing to be safe. Just look for "PCI TV Tuner" without quotes to find them easily, and make sure they have input for at the least a Video (Yellow) RCA/Composite input signal.

If you're wanting HD however, there are far fewer and pricier choices, but they are found the same way.

In reality, the brand/model/etc of TV Tuner doesn't matter, so long as it has a yellow input cable if you want Standard Def.

The thing that makes or breaks the recording is the software you get, some of them are total crap, and others are great.

If you want both software and hardware that is good quality, I'd recomend anything in the AverMedia line. They also have USB recording ontop of PCI if you perfer that.

Well, who records with the Red/Yellow/White cables anymore lol. Standard Def = poopy quality.

Just need a card with HDMI in and out.

That is significantly harder to find and significantly pricier. I also have no experience at all with that, i only know about Component/Green,Blue,Red HD recording.

You might want to check into USB alternatives though, as I know they are much cheaper than PCI for HD recording.

Also check for the terms "PVR", "HDMI Recorder", and "HD Box". Last one is not used a lot, but sometimes. Never know what you'll find on ebay and Amazon afterall.

You mean like that? Nothing wrong with using the component out, including the extra three ones for HD signals. I used those with a HD PVR for a year or two and depending on the render settings the picture was better than it was on my crappy tv back then.

You can get a Black Magic Intensity for that, or PVR 2.

I want summin that uses HDMI in and out, just PCI seemed to have cheaper options.
