Malwarebytes is not a full antivirus and is intended to be used in addition to something like Avast, AVG, or MSE. I'd suggest Avast because it performs the best in testing.

Microsoft Security Essentials is free and comes straight for Microsoft so I think its pretty damn good

SuperAntiSpyware is great, but again, it's meant to run alongside a full antivirus.

I'd recommend Avast. Very low resource usage, runs about 2MB RAM when in background, or 10-15MB when the program itself is opened.

r00t is right, it is something good to have though. go with AVG, zonealarm, avast, or ms security essentials. but definetly get super anti spyware, trust me its worth it.
