This may not be the case for all schools! But recently I arrived at a new school and I wanted to get a drink out of the water fountain, which I did but the water is nasty (tastes like eggs/very sour) and I don't think it is being filtered! So I am forced to drink my own water or buy bottled water! Does anyone else have this problem?

I can agree that most public water fountains water taste horrible. At my school the majority of the fountains have a metallic taste to it. I normally just buy my drinks from the vending machines at my school instead of using the water fountains.

I know what you mean. When I was in high school the water was brown, I mean if you looked at it through a clear cup it was brown.
And now I'm in college and I have to buy my water.

Welcome to city well water. I takes like that basically every where. Has nothing to do with the school. It just tastes different because your house has filters and softens it.
