Link is bad, but there's almost no benefit to spending a lot on an 1150 motherboard. An MSI Z87-G45 or similar board will do everything you need (8x 8x for Crossfire/SLI and overclocking to your CPU's limit).

that motherboard is way to overkill lol.

The MSI Z87-G45 would give the same performance, and Xfire/SLI options also maximum overclocking options.

Here is an updated build for you, also changed the 770 to one with less VRAM but 2GB is perfect for 1080p gaming. It's also a lot cheaper.

And here is an i7 build.

PS. A $1.5k build without a SSD is like a person with no head. A bit pointless and slow lol.

Both builds ^^^ are cheaper than the OG one....

Changed it up a bit, the Vengeance LP can ONLY be purchased with a combo.
Found High Clocked(2400Mhz) RAM cheap.
Also put in a 7990 because why the **** not.

I'd personally go pickup a copy of Windows 7 off Ebay for a lot less.

1.65v is way out of Intel's spec for the 1150/1155 IMC and the warranty is void at 1.575v. The controllers are very, very, VERY good, but they're not tolerant of high voltages. You could change the settings, of course, but you want a stock profile that's within spec.
