All I know is that my Linux build is going ahead now, that Steam OS looks da beez kneez.

Yeah I am interested to see if this could be a console replacement if they don't release the Steam box.

The SteamOS is a good idea. One of the huge downsides of Linux is the lack of compatibility with games, and this will help.
However, the idea of a Steam Box is ridiculous to me. PCs change and evolve too quickly to make buying a piece of hardware that cant be upgraded viable.
