You don't get E 71 error codes from a plugin, sorry to break it to you. It is caused by a failed dashboard update or a nand problem, maybe in a chip if you're unlucky.

I got an e71 error from a plugin, a few times actually, before I got it right. I just flashed my old nand and new one again and it'd work like it never happened :b

I just did some more research and I can see that happening. Plugins are certainly a possibility.

I've been getting similar problems. Anyway, what you want to do is when you are starting up the console and the xbox logo is animating, press the eject button to cancel the plugins. After it works, delete/edit your launch.ini.

If you cant get passed the e71 error, you will have to flash your nand. This can be done by putting the "updflash.bin" on the root of you USB and then plug it into your console and then boot in Xell and let it flash on its own.

Have you tried it with a different XBDM.xex?

Delete all of your plugins and launch.ini from the root of xexmenu and where ever else it is on your Rgh/Jtag make sure you go to dashlaunch and press y to clear your plugins and hit save after you do it.. Restart your xbox just to make sure you're starting fresh :b Put your plugins back in dashlaunch hit rb go to whatever you're saving them to hit x a x and restart your xbox again and tell me if that works seems so simple lol but I got e71 error like 3 or 4 times before I actually got it right and my problem was I screwed my launch.ini up guess I got my buttons backwards or something because its works now after doing what I said above! & If it doesn't work after that Download a different plugin
