title says it all it means if they have it to join my server what can they do with my ip?

Not much, they could just get a general idea of where you live. EG it would show me as living in Great Britain. Thats it really what someone would do. I guess they could take you offline, but that is very, very unlikely.

I would say for your safety, find out how to get it to a different name. EX: PvPMCPwnz instead of numbers and dots.

They could find out the city where your ISP is located and hit you offline.

If anything redirect it through a free hostname. People smarter then average could still get your IP though. If anything just get a server through a company or a VPS.
