ok so when i go to sign in it says sign in with my email but ive forgot my password does that mean i cant use that account ? or is there away to sign in with out having to do that

If you do NOT know the password then you can NOT sign in.

Go to your xbox.com and reset the password. If you can't remember your email password either then you might be ****.

Try calling microsoft, but it probably wont work, but its worth a shot.
