So I was messing around and I was able to get into the game without doing the race. I killed some people and earned some money, however I don't know if it will save or not I also robbed a gas station.
What I did was go into single player, press start and hover over the online tab. From there, I went to start a new GTA online session, and I selected invite only session , right below the first one. It will load the race mission screen however you will not be able to play the race. You can drive off in a stolen car, however at the bottom of your TV it will say "Go to the race trigger" however you can still drive around and stuff.

Sadly, you can not. However you can use weapons and such still

you cant press start aswell so you have to know where your going if you want to go somewhere

This is ideal to get a feel for the multiplayer and start earning some basic cash, I hope this is helping everybody

it wont even let me start the race. I go to start>online>play online>go and it brings me to that point where is says go to the race start but wont let me start..
anyone know how to get past this?
