It's actually only been a day and the amount of people that bought the game times the amount of time the server's have been online = mass amounts of problems.
Give it time, Rockstar will fix the problem as soon as they can I'm sure they're already working on it.

My god xamplez. You are one of the most ignorant people I have ever come to experience on the internet. Things dont just get fixed over night. Rockstar said within the first 3 days of release that there were going to be problems when they put the servers online because they were not expecting so many people to buy the game so soon. Dont believe me? Go look back at the news for the homepage from about a week ago. Its there.
Also you obviously have no idea how server upgrading works. You dont just fix things on the software side, you have to actually acquire new hardware. They cant just make servers appear out of nowhere, you need to learn some patience kid. The game is rated M for a reason. To keep kids like you from playing it. God i wish they didnt take away the -rep system, you deserve all the negative rep you can get.
Have fun in 6th grade and I hope your disk cracks and your mommy wont buy you a new copy.
