whats up TTG, im currently in college at a 4 year university but I'm not enjoying it too much. I don't have the desire to learn anything here so it all feels pointless to me. Debating on whether i wanna move back to my hometown and go to a community college and work for a bit just to make some money or keep going and try and find something I enjoy. Are you guys goin to college to further your education or try and do something else that doesn't require college?

I went to college for 5 years.
Now I work as a computer engineer/ civil engineer.
Totally worth it mate, go there to the end.

I personally want to focus on IT in college and hopefully doing something computer / graphics related. I still have a year of school left yet though, all depends on my results..

I finished 4 years at college, I didn't love it but I needed it for medical school.
Just stay and get your degree

I'm taking courses online over the summer so that I can graduate in 3 1/2 years. Trust me, you want a degree. Not having one will limit how far you can progress in the job field. When I graduate I'll probably end up making 60k+ starting. There's no way I'd be able to make that if I dropped out right now and tried to find a job.

the thing is i don't care about having a lot of money, If i can pay my bills and have a little bit to spend on myself I could live happy as can be like that. Me and my friends were gonna get a house together and that would be much better than this.

I just started 4 year college too and it's different than I expected. I'm going to push through though and then go for Cisco certs after I graduate. It's hard to get a serious job now a days without a college degree. Even if you don't want to work in what you're majoring in, any degree will show an employer you can and will work.
