You don't do this in the middle of the road for no reason. You are at fault. I would compare it to those insurance scams that trap a driver to hit them. He even looked back at the SUV to see if he was in front of it. You say the SUV had time to stop. I say the biker had time to speed up. All in all, you don't stop in the middle of the road for no reason: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You also don't pin a vehicle so it can't go anywhere. That itself is a form of intimidation and self defense is justified. Since it was self defense, it justifies the crippling of a man (even as bad as that sounds.) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Lol, now it's changed to an insurance scam conspiracy, the lengths some people will go to, he was looking behind to check how far away he was, that's what you do on bikes sometimes.

You are trying to stick up for someone who has crippled a man, pathetic.

You do know what the word 'compare' means, yes? You could 'compare, it to an insurance scam. I was stating that the motorcycle guy had the intentions on either getting hit or stopping the SUV for no reason at all. That is dangerous and against the law. The biker had room to move. Why didn't he slow down on the side of the road or somewhere near the bikers? There is no justification right in the middle of the road in front of a random person's SUV unless you had intentions to stop it (which there were zero reason to stop it.)

I'm not justifying the crippling per se. I am justifying what it takes to protect your family and get them out of harms way. The man could have died and I would still call it justified. That is like saying someone shooting an intruder in their home is at fault. Common sense says to either let the SUV pass or ride with them. Common sense should not say brake-check the guy and trap him. There are just no thoughts in that.

Common sense is not running over a group of bikers making the whole situation worse. IF, and a BIG if at that, his family was going to be in danger (which they wouldn't, bikers aren't animals, stop discriminating them) then running over them wouldn't help, it would make the whole matter worse. The only reason he was chased was because he ran them over, anyone who's friend has just been ran over would chase the person who did it.

Why can't we discriminate when a dangerous situation is presented? It's in human nature to discriminate, especially when biker "gangs" have brought this bad behavior image upon them as a whole.

You really are dumb aren't you. They trapped him and dented his car and slashed one of his tires. The driver did the right thing and acted in self defense by using his SUV in self defense which is allowed.

You cannot look at a situation like this objectively, you formulated an opinion the second you turned off the video.

Of course i ''formulated'' an opinion, just like you.

Taken from what the people in the car said in an interview:

Our fear for our lives was confirmed when the incident ended with the ruthless and brutal attack on my husband, me, and, most importantly, our two-year-old child.''

What a load of BS, the only person getting attacked was the driver yet the woman is trying to make it it was on all of them, again, trying to make it sound worse than it is. The media have always had it in for bikers, more than 6 riders together is a ''gang'' nowadays. It's pathetic, it really is.

I know I formulated an opinion, so did BigWes, Yin and Dunder, but that bias doesn't mean what we're saying is wrong.

You have just demonstrated your bias perfectly, "The media have always had it in for bikers"
Does that mean what you're saying about the video is wrong?
No. What you're saying about the video makes what you're saying about the video wrong.

In the medias eyes, a group of let's say, 6 people, is a ''gang'', that's just an example. The media portray things in a certain way.

The video wouldn't be wrong as it;s recorded by someone who was there. I'm not biased, I'm clearly pointing out a man has been crippled and no-one cares, at all, what a sick world we live in.

People do care about the man being crippled, it's a tragedy.
I would say a group of 6 bikers is a gang, I'm pretty sure my neighbour would say the same thing.
The thing is, it doesn't matter what we call them as long as they aren't doing anything wrong, these bikers obviously did something wrong when they surrounded a man and slashed his tyres.

Yes, they surrounded him because he's just ran over a few of you, you'd just let him carry on as per usual would you?

Discrimination at it's finest. Again, proving you have a biased view on a certain group of people. I have no need to reply to you anymore.

Hypervyper, you've got some bad arguments.

Earlier, you said that the group of bikers weren't just a bunch of thugs. Yet, police arrested 15, issued court summons to 68, and impounded 55 bikes.

"In order to prevent the group from heading into Midtown this year, police set up checkpoints throughout the city. Kelly said during that effort, 15 arrests were made, 68 summonses were issues and 55 motorcycles were confiscated. No arrests, however, have been made in connection with the attack on Lien."

Seems like some real nice bike enthusiasts there.

These videos were pulled from the same guy's youtube account, before he pulled them down. They were from the same day the incident occured.

You can clearly see them showing no regard for traffic laws, and driving erratically and dangerously through traffic.

There was no reason for the biker to initially slow down the range rover, that's called impeding the flow of trafiic, and last time I checked, Rule of Law still applied.

None of this was truly the SUV drivers fault, hence the reason why he is not being charged with anything.

Edit: Hoesntly don't know why I can't post this liveleak url www liveleak com/view?i=3cd_1380579664

-_- No understanding of Sarcasm, I see.
Are you even Human?

That's a rhetorical question by the way, just in case you didn't realize.

I'm saying that you can't say 'All bikers aren't animals'
'Nice' isn't a Synonym for 'Biker'
It's not like saying, 'all Bachelors are unmarried.'

You have no idea what those bikers were going to do and saying there was a possibility of them doing something bad is not discrimination, it's called being a realist.

It is well known fact bikers are targeted by police for traffic violations more than any other vehicle. They would have pulled most of them over and checked over their bikes, have slight faults would cause them to be impounded etc etc

Fact of the matter is, they were both wrong like I've previously said, but running over them is what cause them to chase him and smash his windows. Driver made the situation worse for himself.

It's not being a ''realist'', it's called assuming a group of people who ride bikes will attack a mother and baby, there's a word for that...

With that many people there, they could have called the cops, told them the license plate, and got the justice they would have thought they deserved. I don't discriminate against bikers. I actually really like bikes. The bikers were breaking street laws, so naturally it is there fault. If the SUV was in the very back and ploughed through the group without hesitation, I would see this as his fault. Since they acted like idiots by trying to stop him and trap him, the bikers had it coming really. If my friend got hit acting like an idiot, then that is on him. Once they swarmed the SUV, the situation already got worse. Common sense is when you are cornered by a crowd of people, get out any way possible. He did that. Props to the SUV driver. It is just sad that there was traffic that caught him. Bikers really have nothing to do with this story. A group of people were doing idiotic things around someone and trapped him. I don't care if there were scooters, bicycles, cars, planes, boats, or on foot. You don't do that.
