hello ttg, so basically i bought a pc ages ago and have just set it up now, however im having a problem, when i turn it on it wont start up and it says 'PXE-E61 : Media test failure, check cable' and 'PXE-MOF : Exiting PEX ROM. DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER'

can anybody help me fix this?

I think that is a hard drive problem. I would get a new hard drive.

Make sure the SATA connection between the harddrive and the motherboard is good. Try a different SATA port on the motherboard and/or try a different SATA cable. If the connection is good try reinstalling the OS.

If none of the above work I'd look into buying a new HDD, or if the computer is still under warranty send it in for repairs.

It just sounds like it came without an operating system installed. Try doing what it says by booting to an OS install disk or drive.

Try booting into the BIOS to change the boot priority. Boot to the disk drive.

you're confusing me now, i don't understand lol and theres something else.. i put a disc in that i git with the pc which i presumed was the system disc and it said 'press and key to run xpress recovery2' or something so i pressed a key and it started loading and comes up with 'Not found any MS Windows OS or system partition type is GPT' :s

That's not an install disk, then. Did you ever have Windows installed on the computer?
