Well I just tried that old NVIDIA card and it didn't work. So it's probably the processor that is fried?

You would think that if the processor is fried, it wouldn't boot at all. Have you tried checking the ports on your board?

Yeah that's what I thought too. I took apart the computer several times. I even replaced the thermal paste on the processor.
