Hey,

Ive checked on social club site and all my stats and character has been reset but my money is their..

Does this mean my character is gone and may aswell make a new one?

It should still be in their cloud storage, just not loading correctly. It the characters really are gone for good, R* is f*cked.

I had the same problem I went ahead and made a new character.

Everyone has been having this problem all day dude. Im just waiting it out and playing BF4 while I wait for the servers to come back.
