So I was playing casually and went into a store to get some new trousers. I came out and got killed, it went to a cutscene and well, this happened.

Is there any story or reasoning behind this or is "God" just there for the hell of being in the game?

You were rapidly tapping A to respawn quicker right?

It was just a little mini cutscene tut to show you about going into passive mode.

Yeah I was spamming A quite a lot to be honest. I don't get why I am getting it now because I have died many times on this character and I never got it on my level 20 character either :/

I honestly, think it is there just to give you something to look at while your character respawns and introduce passive mode.
