if you already have a 3ds then i would say no
but if you dont then i would say yes because
1. its cheaper
2. lets face it the 3d isnt outstanding, yes its good but not necessary to enjoy the games

I would go ahead and buy the 3ds if i where you. It offers greater portability and a much more stylish look. The 2DS isn't really intended for a more mature audience as well.

okay thanks, well I don't have the 3DS already...
and loads of other people have said the 2DS is aimed at kids more than anything :/

yeah true, it is aimed at a younger audience such eg. no hinges or 3d.
i still personally like it more then the 3ds however this may be because i have an XL but i just think it would be better in my opinion
