I didn't have to do any of the signing out or anything, it worked for me following the steps 6 and after, thanks for the post!

This worked thanks! I just didnt do the first step, as it would make it to where I couldn't sell another car for 48 minutes. But the rest after step 1 made the glitch work for me!

I did everything right and it just says "Sorry - you can only sell vehicles worth up to $50000"

Any ideas on how to make it work?

you weren't supposed to sell the random car, your supposed to click on the sell tab so it shows the price, then you press start,LB,A,A then leave. You should be in your personal car, if not do the start, LB,AA process again then you should spawn in your personal vehicle and sell that one
