My best ideas are to
1. Try the bannana trick (worked for me)
2. Install a friends MW2 disk

Have you downloaded the Disc to your HDD?

You also might want to go to Walmart or best buy and look at buying a scratch doctor machine or something. I know they have them at best buys so you can go check them out there.

IT you don't want to buy that you can always buff the scratches out yourself but you would have to have a buffer and all of that stuff.

I had the same problem as you with GTA V but I solved it by download the play disc to my HDD

Don't use tooth paste. The crystals in it just make it worse. Use a banana peel and rub it on the disc.

Hope this helped

I heard placing metal shiner on the disc for 30 minutes and cleaning it off with cold water can help. I tried this method with my old scratched God of War cd, it partially fixed the problem.

You could borrow a friend of yours disc and install it onto your hard drive then the disc that is scratched will work again. I had to do this with my Black Ops 1 disc it works fine now. Give it a try.

It's safe to use the toothpaste cleaning method if you use regular tooth paste, and not the gel type
