Some Quick Information
You will be asked to sign into your account. Go ahead and do this. Once
you do so, you'll be sent to a membership selection page. Choose your
free month and continue.

Also, don't forget that auto-renew! If you don't turn it off, you'll be
charged the full price of a month ($9.99), so turn it off!

This can be done on the same account each month. You just have
to be Silver when you attempt to do it. I don't know how long this
link will last. I check it frequently to make sure my thread isn't just

I've heard that Microsoft will ban me for this!
No, they won't. If you've been using this link once a month to renew
your Gold, you're 100% safe. They issued bans because people found
a way to stack up to 3 years from the link even though it wasn't meant
for that to work. So shortly after this was discovered, the link had
stopped working. Following was a mass amount of bans to any account
that had abused this glitch. As I said, month to month is safe...glitching
to stack is NOT.
