Can someone please explain it, I'm in my friends lobby but I'm only getting 700xp over the entire race while my friend is getting the 7k xp any help would be appreciated

It all depends on level where you position in the race and how fast you do it

Its just us 2 in the race and we're letting each other win every other race so does there need to be lots of people? Because even when I win I only get like 700 xp
