PokeBank/PokeTransporter Tutorial
1. Download PokeBank from the Nintendo eShop
2. Insert Pokemon X/Y into your 3DS
3. Start up PokeBank and go through all the legal stuff and purchase agreements
4. After that is all finished it gives you the option to download PokeTransporter, do it.
5. Put your Pokemon Black/White/Black2/White2 into your 3DS
6. Start up PokeTransporter and continue through all it's ramblings
7. You may only transfer Pokemon that are in Box 1 of your PC so you might need to make several trips back and forth from your game.
8. After tranferring your first Box reinsert your Pokemon X/Y and go back to PokeBank and unload them into the Bank itself.
9. If you transferred 30 Pokemon from PokeBank to your game you will need to go to X/Y to take them out.
9a. To take out Pokemon from PokeBank start up X/Y and at the bottom of the main menu you see "Pokemon Link" click that and follow it's instructions.
10. If you have more Pokemon to transfer just rinse and repeat (don't actually rinse off your 3DS, you might break it)

Pokemon X/Y Main Description
(credit to Serebii.net)
Pokmon X & Pokmon Y are the first Generation VI Pokmon games, coming for the Nintendo 3DS worldwide in October 2013
These games are the first to include a real 3D world and 3D battles, utilising 3D models in amazing battle environments. The world also is completely 3D, while keeping grid based movement.
It introduces a variety of new Pokmon including Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie, the new starter Pokmon and Pokmon X stars the legendary Pokmon Xerneas while Pokmon Y features the Pokmon Yveltal. The addition of the new Pokmon takes the number of Pokmon over to well above 700. It also is the first game since Gold & Silver to introduce a new type, the Fairy-type
In addition to new Pokmon and a new type, Pokmon X & Y introduce a whole new feature to Pokmon, Mega Evolutions. These give certain Pokmon a temporary evolution in battle to a stronger, never-seen-before, appearance with increased stats, changed abilities and sometimes even different types. You even get given a Kanto starter Pokmon in order to get their Mega Evolution.
The games are set within the Kalos region, a large region which has a Regional Pokdex split into three parts, Central, Coastal and Mountain. In the game, you start off as a trainer, being able to customise the appearance between three different options for each of the genders. There are a variety of new features involved including being able to ride certain Pokmon within certain areas.
The game also makes training a Pokmon's Effort Values easier through a mini-game system known as Super Training. With this, you have the ability to increase your pokmon's Effort Values through a scheme of mini-games and various other features.
This game also introduces the idea of Trainer Customisation, allowing you to not only pick your trainer's hair colour and skintone from three options, but to completely customise your trainer's outfit and accessories
Pokmon X & Y have compatibility with two bits of Nintendo 3DS download software. First, you can use Pokmon Bank to store up to 3,000 Pokmon on the cloud, and you can use the Pok Transporter to transfer Pokmon from Black, White, Black 2 & White 2.
Like previous new generations, Pokmon X & Y brings several new forms of battling. First are Sky Battles, which can only be participated in by Flying-type Pokmon, and Horde Encounters which are wild Pokmon encounters where you face off against up to 5 Pokmon at once.

New Features
Pokemon Amie:
(credit to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
The Pokmon Amie is a new feature introduced in Pokmon X & Y and utilises the game's 3D captabilities, along with the touch screen, to give you a level of interaction with the Pokmon never been seen before. With this mode, your Pokmon can be brought into the fray for you to interact with them.
This interaction ranges from feeding your Pokmon, to petting them and even playing with them. You can then mimic their movements and control them through the touch screen. Feeding them, using the special food called PokPuff, is done by holding the food in front of their mouth on the touchscreen. If you let go of it, it will drop down and the Pokmon will be disgruntled.
To access Pokmon Amie, all you have to do is press one of the tabs on the bottom screen at any time when in the overworld. This will take you over to the Pokmon Amie tab and will have your lead Pokmon there. From there, you have the ability to enter Pokmon Amie with that Pokmon, change the Pokmon that is being focused
You can also play games with the Pokmon. These games help you get special PokPuffs depending upon your success.
Friend Safari:
(credit to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
Located within Kiloude City is the special Friend Safari. This is the new Safari Zone for the modern age. instead of having a set, defined, list of Pokmon you can encounter in the areas, this game applauds people who have numerous friends on their 3DS. If you have someone added, then they will appear on a list, with them being designated a certain type at random based on their Friend Code. This type, and the Pokmon within it, cannot be changed.
With each person, you get up to three Pokmon within each specific area, with the third Pokmon slot appearing should the person have defeated the Elite Four, with them getting Hidden Abilities if the player has been online at the same time as you. It also appears that the Pokmon found within the Friend Safari have got two IVs of 31.
-O- Powers
(credit to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
O-Powers are a new feature that work similarly to Pass Powers, but also have a more ranged effect. Several O-Powers will allow for you to increase stats within battle, while others will help you gain more experience or make your captures more likely. Like in Pokmon Black & White, you have the ability to share your O-Powers with your friends, but this can now be done over the internet so you can request help from your friends any time they are online.
It appears that each O-Power comes at multiple levels that increase the effect and the duration and have a special cost. This cost is of Energy, which is gained through time, and varies depending on whether you intend to use it on yourself or others. You recover more energy faster depending on how many steps you have clocked on the 3DS that day
0-1999 steps: x1 2000-2999 steps: x2 3000-3999 steps: x3 4000+ steps: x4
You can't send Encounter or Stealth Powers to people. .
The O Powers are found by meeting Mr. Bonding in a variety of places. He will help you bond and then give you the O Power
Super Training
(credit to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
Super Training is a combination of mini-games. Only one of which is currently known. In this game, you have a Pokmon in the field and you need to control it, using the touchscreen or the Circle Pad, in order to deflect Balloon Bots balls from going into your goal, while you send various balls into your opponent's goal.
Each Pokmon uses a specific ball at random, based mostly upon the species of Pokmon you are using. These balls have special effects
Black: These balls are average in size, speed and power, but can be shot rapidly
Blue: These balls are incredibly fast with average power. They are small
Green: These balls are incredibly powerful but are slow to fire.
Orange: These balls have an average speed, and are a bit weak. However, they are very large
Yellow: These balls are lower power and have an average speed. They are small, but can be shot rapidly
There are three different levels to the games, unlocked as you go through Level 1, 2 and 3. When you complete the games, you get an increase of Effort Values in that one specific stat. Level 1 gives you +4, Level 2 gives you +8 and Level 3 gives you +12.
Each individual Pokmon's progress is tracked, with them receiving medals for each game completed.

Super-Secret Bases
(copy/paste from Pokemon.com)
Super-Secret Bases are an awesome new way to express your creativity and join up with friends in the upcoming Pokmon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games. Create a Secret Base thats all your own, including selecting and placing Decorations however you like. You can use Decorations to create tricks in your Secret Base, decide the rules for what kind of Pokmon battles are allowed there, and make it like your very own Pokmon Gym! Then get ready for other players to come and challenge you!
Using communication features, its easy to connect with other players around the world to share your Secret Bases with one another. When you visit another players Secret Base, that bases members will be hanging out there. You can talk to them or even battle them! If you find base owners that you like, you can scout them as one of your Secret Pals and bring them back to your own Secret Base. Once youve become Secret Pals with someone, you can continue to have Pokmon battles against them, and also have your Pal use special skills to support you on your adventure.
Another fun aspect of Super-Secret Bases is a capture-the-flag activity. Examine the flag beside the Secret PC in another players Secret Base to obtain it! You can take one flag per day from each base visited. Visit lots of Secret Bases and collect lots of flags to improve your teams rank and get rewards, including increasing the skills of your Secret Pals. Flag colors will change based on a teams rank, so you can tell another teams rank at a glanceand others can tell yours!
You can share your Super-Secret Base with Trainers all over the world! Symbolize your Secret Base with a QR Code. With a QR Code, you can get the Secret Base of a particular player youve been wanting to visit.
To help you get started with Super-Secret Bases, youll meet Secret Base Expert Aarune. Aarune and his Flygon are world travelers, bursting with excitement about the Secret Base culture in the Hoenn region. This enthusiastic adventurer will teach you all about the fun of Secret Bases during your journey.
Look forward to building your own Super-Secret Baseand visiting your friends Super-Secret Basesin Pokmon Omega Ruby and Pokmon Alpha Sapphire, launching this November!

It's been a rough month for me, many personal life choices made for the better. I am happy to announce however, that I am back to updating this. I will try to stay on top of the news as best as I can (even though a certain console game has had me binging it for the past week and a half). I hope to see more activity in the coming weeks leading up to the 1 year anniversary of X/Y, and all the way up to the release of OR/AS.

I love the idea of this thread.
I made this thread in hopes that people who have few or no friends on a 3DS won't feel alone anymore because I know how it feels since I bought mine about 4 months ago and still have only a couple friends that own one.

I quit after the 3rd generation, I lost hope after I had nearly all the Pokemon then my FireRed was stolen. It's never too late to rejoin and trust me, it brings back so many good memories. I just beat the main story of X and the ending was deep and people that are very into the story and are emotional would probably cry due to how the ending was. It wasn't sad, just very fitting.
The graphics on the other hand were pretty amazing during some of the most trippy cutscenes (and the cutscenes were just incredible) however that shouldn't be a solid reason to start back up. I did it for the nostalgia and just so I could actually help out my nephew since he loves Pokemon (the trading card game more then the video games) and he reminds me of myself when I was younger.
