Just before sunrise, the guards hooked ropes around his neck and hanged him for possessing a kilo of crystal meth. Exactly 12 minutes later medics pronounced him dead and sent his body for burial. But in the morgue the next day, something unusual caught the eyes of a worker who was preparing the corpse for family collection: steam in the plastic cover he was wrapped in. He was still alive.
Alireza was instantly taken to Bojnurd's Imam Ali hospital.
Now, to the dismay of his family, Iranian judicial authorities are waiting for him to make a full recovery before they hang him again, according to the state-run Jam-e-Jam newspaper, which was first to break the news of Alireza's ordeal.

Do you think they should hang him again? or do you think it is unethical

I think you should be given a single chance to kill someone and if you can't manage to do it the first time, the person should just live out their time in a jail cell.
Hell, being in a jail cell for a lifetime is worse punishment than death.

I agree with that honestly I would rather die than rot in prison.

That is really dumb that they will get to hang him again.
He was sentenced to death, he died, then he came back.
And do they really need to wait for him to make a full recovery?

Wow. that's brutal
Let the guy serve time in jail, that's cruelty for them to leave him lifeless, he's probably experienced the worst type of pain ever.

Those 'Get Well Soon' cards must be a blight on his eyes.
I think the most unethical thing here is making him wait until he's fit to be killed.
They should just do it how they do in Iraq and put him face down in the sand, push a gun into the back of his head and pull the trigger, at least it's faster that way.
The death penalty is one of the last remnants of our stupidity and incivility, if they're going to insist on using it as an excuse to try and make people obey the law, they should at least do it right.

Either kill him now or let hime live free or in jail. Letting him recover before going through it again is inhumane.

Death just for having a kilo of crystal meth... That alone is messed up, the fact that they are killing him again is the worst part

In the US i think that if you die (executed) and are somehow resuscitated you can't be tried for your previous crimes as you have already suffered the consequences which means you get a clean slate, some people call it a double jeopardy.
