I'm currently struggling through my senior year, skipping school and getting in trouble.Even I realize that I need a diploma to get a job that can support a family. Sometimes you really have to look at the effect your schooling and up raising have on you.

That's what many older people tell me after High School.

triksta2k11 wrote Have you ever thought about what you actually learn from school?
About when and why you would use trigonometry and algebra?
About WHAT they actually teach you?[/color]

Trigonometry and algebra are essential in almost all sciences. If we didn't have algebra you wouldn't be on a computer. Trigonometry is also used alot in engineering.

Yeah, I always think to myself while I'm in Algebra when I'm gonna use it, but I guess they wouldn't teach us it if we didn't need it for something. Including Jobs, and etc.

So you're saying that when you get taught ENGLISH and basic mathematics then it's pointless.

You're gonna go far in life thinking like that..

I'm thirteen, and I'm currently working at GCSE grade A.

Without school, I don't know where I will be. You're most

probably an student who messed around in all lessons, until

you get to Grade 11 or Year 11; know you're realising you shouldn't t off.

Yes, I believe you that you don't need algebra, but some jobs need

it as their requirements. You don't always learn after your mistakes.

I mean, be grateful you even have education; some people don't.

Most stuff isn't important to us all but for people going into that field. I thing school is mainly important for English, basic Math, basic science, and History.

most people wont agree with you because they were raised to think that without school they will be homeless and have to eat scraps.More then half the stuff you learn in school you will not use in your entire life the ONLY subjects i believe u actually can use are english and basic math nothing more then algebra 1.Unfortunately the school board/government etc dont see that so if you do want a decent job you need your ged at the very least. (ged and diploma are looked at exactly the same in todays society aside from the military)

Anyone that thinks they need everything the school teaches you ask your parents if they remember or used half the stuff they were taught
