Should I build a beast pc or buy one? If I should buy one what should I look at getting like alienware etc etc, or if I build one or buy a custom made one what specs should i look for to run games in decent quality etc. budget of about 500-600 gbp

Build, dont ever buy alienware... they are too overpriced for what they are. (paying for name).
specs wise i say 3rd gen intel as i dont see much point in haswell chips.
8 - 16gb ram
7970/770
2tb hdd
128gb ssd
basic setup.
